   <mods:abstract>The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) 'Oil and Gas Locations' shapefile is made up of over 80,000 oil and gas related locations within the State of Colorado. An oil and gas location is a definable area where an operator has disturbed or intends to disturb the land surface in order to locate an oil and gas facility. The COGCC is the official repository for Colorado oil and gas information.</mods:abstract>
