Shapefile Format –To view and analyze BLM Vacant Grazing Allotment Boundaries and Attributes for Colorado.The purpose of this polygon feature class is to show BLM Colorado Vacant Grazing Allotments, which are areas of land designateds and managed for grazing of livestock. Verfication of vacancy needs to be made with the respective field office. These vacant allotments are a subset of the Grazing Allotment dataset and were pulled from the Rangeland Administration System (RAS) as of 7/31/19. It may include private, state, and public lands under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management and/or other federal agencies. An allotment is derived from its pastures, where the grazing of livestock is occurring.A published revision of the Department Manuals Part 305: Departmental Science Effects, Chapter 3: Integrity of Scientific and Scholarly Activities (305 DM 3), effective December 16, 2014, is available online at http://elips.doi.gov/ELIPS/DocView.aspx?id=4056.
